Thank you very much to Dark Island who gave a superb performance at last night's folk club. They played a wide range of music from traditional English and Scottish folk to their own compositions via some jazz, blues and Paul McCartney, all sung beautifully, accompanied by guitar, bouzouki, flute and saxophone. Thank you too to all the excellent floor singers, players and poet who helped to make this such an enjoyable evening. The Saltcellar at its best.

Impressed by Dark Island's wonderful varied set at Folkridge, we were delighted they could make our guest spot on 4th March.
Those that knew their music welcomed a chance to hear them at their best, and those new to Alex and Scotty couldn't believe such talent lived just a few miles away. Every song they performed has its own, unique character, thanks to skilful and innovative arrangements. Some beautiful flute melodies took you to distant highlands and islands, while numbers with guitar and sax put you in a warm R and B mood. It was a treat to welcome instrumentalists that can also sing so well together. Effortless vocal harmonies and strong lyrics were inspirational to our regular floor singers.

Just wanted to thank you for playing at our Burn's night and whisky tasting a couple weeks back. Your music went down extremely well with some great feedback from the organisers and customers.
I've had requests from Bison Kitchen and the Stroud Whisky Club to enquire about if you would be available to play again for the forthcoming St Patricks Day and whisky tasting

Even my husband enjoyed himself. That's rare!
Thank you so much for coming over to The Courts Garden on Saturday evening to play for the HandleBards during their performance of Romeo and Juliet. We really enjoyed your performance. It helped to create the right atmosphere, as well as keeping a rather wet audience entertained and cheerful!
